Sony redesigns the PlayStation app with a new look and exclusive PS5 features

In preparation for the PlayStation 5 release, Sony launched an update to its remote Play app earlier this month. Now the flagship PlayStation app itself is getting an overhaul built to compliment the gaming experience on both the PS4 and PS5 consoles. The PS app has been completely redesigned and added new features such as voice chat and, of course, the integration of local PS stores.
The first thing users often see is that the UI has been updated. I’m not a big fan of design, but maybe that round bottom bar would be cool in real use? There is a new home screen that shows you what your friends are playing as well as key information about the games you recently played. Sony has integrated functionality from the PS messaging app into this new app that can serve as a one-stop shop for uninterrupted messaging between players. (Existing messages and threads will be transferred.)
The focus on communication continues with voice chat. Party groups can be created directly from the app and users can have up to 15 friends and voice chat. The PlayStation Store is now in the front and center, and with the integration of local PS stores you can download games remotely and add-ons directly to both PS4 and PS5.
Once launched on the PS5, the app allows owners to remotely launch games, manage console storage, and sign in directly to the console from their phone. Finally, the Search tab includes a newsletter from the game developers and PlayStation blogs to keep users updated.
The app for Android 6.0 Marshmallow and later devices should start running globally today. We have not seen it in the jungle yet, but once it arrives, you can download it directly APK Mirror Or get access to new things like Play Store and voice chat and a smoother experience.
